Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University (MDSU), Ajmer was established in 1987. Earlier it was known as University of Ajmer, but it was later renamed on May 5 1992. The University is one of the leading universities in Rajasthan. The University was accorded with B++ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, NAAC. Declared motive of the university is to find alternatives to fulfill the needs of the society.

Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University offers degree and diploma courses in Science, Commerce, Business Management, Politics, Health Science and Technology.

 

The University of Ajmer was established on 1 August 1987. It's name was changed from University of Ajmer to Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer vide Rajasthan State Gazette dated 5 May, 1992. The University was registered in the year 1993 under section 12(B) of U.G.C.Act,1956.
