DHAKA UNIVERSITY: Two female students accused an assistant proctor on charge of sexual harassment while they were protesting over the election of Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU).

The two female students who have brought charges are leaders of Progressive Student Organizations.
The incident took place on the day of Vice Chancellor's Panel election at the special session of DU Senate.
On Thursday (August 10), a complaint letter was submitted to Professor Nasrin Ahmad, Deputy Vice Chancellor (education) and Convener of the Sexual Assault cell at DU.

It was stated in the complaint letter that on July 29 students went out to form a human chain, as planned earlier, on the grounds of having no student representatives in the senate session.
However, students tried to enter through the gate where they faced a scuffle.
At one stage, Robiul Islam embraced a female student in the chaotic atmosphere.
Apart from that, he pulled with the scarf of another student there, stated the letter, said Professor Nasrin Ahmed.
However, investigation will be launched once the permission is received from the varsity’s Vice Chancellor AAMS Arefin Siddique, Nasrin added.
