Gujarat University is the oldest and biggest university in the state of Gujarat. It was established on 23rd November, 1949. Going by the figures taken in the year 2005-06, Gujarat University has 215 affiliated colleges and in all, 2, 27,812 students appeared in its March/April 2004 Examination.
